Marie Murphy
CEO & Founder
Marie Murphy is the Principal and CEO of MJD Capital Partners and is responsible for the overall strategy, operations, and investment management of the firm. MJD Capital Partners, LLC is a privately-held full service development and management company based in San Francisco, California. MJD Capital Partners, LLC works with debt and equity partners seeking to invest in real estate investments, including short term and long term investment horizons.
Marie has completed over 57 projects in select West Coast markets. Marie is a frequent speaker at real estate conferences throughout the United States. Marie holds a B.A. from Santa Clara University and a Masters from St. Mary’s College.
Wade Machon
Chief Operating Officer
Wade joined the MJD team in early 2022, as
Chief Operating Officer, bringing multi industry experience. He held multiple leadership positions
at: TopNotch Resort and Spa in Stowe, VT and The Liberty Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Boston, MA. After proving his leadership skills in luxury hospitality, Wade shifted his focus to Real Estate and CRE.
Holding positions in leadership operations and development with the large REIT, Equity Residential and Private Real Estate firm, Brookfield Properties, Multifamily divisions. Education from Southern New Hampshire University with a BS in Hotel Resort Management.
Aurelian Junc
Asset Manager
Aurelian joined the MJD team in 2022 to lead Asset Management and support the firm’s acquisition strategy, bringing over a decade of experience in the multifamily sector. He previously oversaw a 1,500-unit portfolio at JRK, a Los Angeles-based REIT, where he focused on improving performance and repositioning assets.
At MJD, Aurelian oversees multifamily, hospitality, and commercial portfolios, with a focus on financial performance, budgeting, and operational efficiency.
Aurelian earned a BS in International Business and Marketing from Sacramento State University and holds a certificate in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management from Cornell University.
Stephen Bayne
Executive Vice President
Stephen Bayne is the Executive Vice President at MJD Capital Partners and MJD Development. He has been an integral part of MJD since 2015.
An invaluable team member, Stephen has extensive experience in the management field and the restaurant industry. Through his relentless work at MJD, Stephen makes sure that day to day operations occur smoothly.
Whenever he isn’t spending time at work, Stephen enjoys the great outdoors. He is an avid Seattle Seahawks fan and shares the football passion with his brother.
Nestor Munoz
Director of Development
Nestor Munoz is MJD Capital Partner’s Director of Development. Two of his most important responsibilities include overseeing the budget and the impeccable execution of every single project MJD is involved in.
Before coming to MJD Development, Nestor acquired substantial experience with a large retain construction material chain store. Nestor’s specialization and background in the field of material procurement have boosted work efficiency at MJD.
Apart from being passionate for his job, Nestor is a connoisseur of Sacramento craft brews. He also enjoys spending quality time with family and loved ones.
Dylan Hipsley
Accounting - Manager
Dylan Hipsley joined MJD in January of 2022 as a temporary Staff Accountant. He was brought on full time two months later, and in September of 2022, was promoted to Manager of Accounting.
Before coming to MJD, Dylan worked in various industries, including non-profits, banks, and wholesale. Despite being new to real estate, Dylan’s expertise in accounting has been invaluable to MJD. He has streamlined processes, implemented additional internal controls, and started building the foundation for a strong team.
Dylan received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Nevada, Reno. He also studied international business for a semester at Christ College in Bangalore, India.
